Hayden Moore
Owner/Director & Licensed Master Builder
Hayden Moore is the founder of Moore Quality Building and a licensed builder with over 22 years of experience in residential construction. Originally from the UK, his career began with a focus on oak framing (a traditional and highly skilled method of construction that uses large, precisely-cut oak timbers to create a building's entire structural skeleton) before moving into the home renovation space.
Hayden established Moore Quality Building in New Zealand in 2018 with a clear vision: to create homes that are not only beautifully finished, but built with the integrity and structure to stand the test of time. As a master carpenter, he brings a meticulous eye to every project, valuing precision, craftsmanship, and the finer details that elevate a home beyond the ordinary.
Hayden remains closely involved throughout each build, from early conversations to final handover. For him, the most rewarding part of the process is seeing a client’s reaction when their plans are fully realised — when the care, detail, and considered decisions come together to create a home that feels truly special, personal, and enduring.
Hayden is a dedicated husband and father to three beautiful children, and enjoys watching motorsport and camping with his family in his spare time.

Tim Lane
Qualified Builder
Tim is a qualified builder with over 15 years of experience in residential construction, along with an additional four years specialising in swimming pool construction. This combination gives him a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of complex builds that require careful coordination and precision.
Tim plays a key role in guiding projects from start to finish, overseeing day-to-day operations with Hayden and ensuring workmanship, sequencing, and timelines are carefully managed. He takes particular pride in supporting clients through what can sometimes be a challenging process — providing clarity, reassurance, and solutions while delivering a high-end result that consistently exceeds expectations.
Tim is a proud dad and enjoys spending time with his son, as well as restoring antique furniture from the Georgian era, exercising and going to the beach.
Tim’s life motto is…

Sam West
Qualified Builder
Sam is a qualified builder with seven years experience and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach to construction. He is known for his ability to navigate on-site challenges with skill and confidence, finding practical answers to complex problems as they arise.
Working closely with Hayden and Tim, Sam maintains open and transparent communication with clients throughout the build and takes pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard. His attention to detail and commitment to quality play an important role in ensuring each project is completed with care, precision, and a refined finish.
In his spare time you can find Sam rock climbing, surfing or spending time with his partner. He’s currently renovating his own house at the moment which keeps him on his toes!
