Coastal Retreat

This architectural coastal retreat was brought to life by Moore Quality Building in close collaboration with our clients Jan & Sam and architect TBC, from early-stage planning through to final detailing.

Perched above the Hauraki Gulf, the home was crafted for low-maintenance luxury — featuring aluminium cladding, bespoke aluminium fascias, barges and spouting, integrated sauna plus 10kW solar panels. Every element was considered for both long-term performance and modern coastal living.

Inside, the home flows effortlessly from open-plan living to a large ocean-facing kwila deck with multiple levels to entertain, dine and relax. Custom finishes include a marble waterfall benchtop, sauna, expansive walk-in wardrobe, recessed curtain tracks, heat pump grills and LED strips/lights plus a fully kitted billiards room and bar. With floor-to-ceiling glazing and refined textures throughout, the result is a calm, contemporary sanctuary that balances everyday functionality with elevated design.
