This multi-stage renovation began as a modest en-suite upgrade for a returning client in Shelly Park — but quickly evolved into a full interior transformation, designed by us. Upon strip-out of the original en-suite, our team uncovered extensive issues from previous substandard work: compromised framing, faulty plumbing, and inappropriate wall linings. As trusted renovation builders in East Auckland, we knew a patch-job wasn’t an option.

We fully rebuilt the en-suite structure, re-framed and reinforced the walls, upgraded all plumbing, and added a filtration system to the main water line for better long-term performance. The en-suite was then beautifully waterproofed, tiled floor to ceiling, and finished to a high standard with premium fittings and fixtures. The client, impressed by both our workmanship and communication, re-engaged us to extend the renovation into multiple areas of the home.

Our expanded scope included the full renovation of a second bathroom, the installation of a third, brand-new bathroom, and a complete rebuild of the scullery and pantry. Significant electrical upgrades were also completed throughout the bathrooms, pantry, scullery, and laundry — modernising every space and ensuring long-term safety and compliance.

The most notable transformation was the garage conversion, where we reimagined an under-utilised space into a functional combined laundry and rumpus room. We removed all original fittings, installed a new insulated garage door, laid garage-specific carpet, upgraded lighting and power, and finished with a full repaint for a crisp, cohesive look.

To complete the project, we carried out various exterior touch-ups and maintenance, including the repainting of the entry door — ensuring the home’s external presentation reflected the quality of the work inside.
